Things have been busy here at Syngentic for the past few months! With the new SAP PartnerEdge Build partnership, learning about the fundamentals of what SAP is and how we can leverage the platform to create solutions that align with their future vision is of utmost importance.

This partnership gives us access to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and other advanced tools, enabling us to build scalable, secure, and innovative solutions. There were various ways members of Syngentic increased their understanding of SAP, such as earning badges, attending webinars, and taking part in hands-on learning activities. These efforts ensure our team is aligned with SAP’s best practices and ready to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

The ultimate goal? To create a piece of software using the tools provided by this partnership that will be launched on the official SAP Store! In doing so, Syngentic is placed in a position that allows for a global audience to be reached and a real-world problem to be solved.

There is a multitude of industries that make use of solutions from SAP. Within these industries, a large portion of them face various challenges ranging from the migration to a cloud architecture or the visualization of data. While these challenges have varying severity and difficulties to implement, it is part of our job here at Syngentic to do the proper research as a team and come to a conclusive understanding of what solution is best for us to develop.

Throughout this development process, our focus is on delivering a high-quality product that prioritizes compliance, mass adoption, and user experience. However, our focus is not only on what SAP was and currently is. We have our sights set on the future trends that SAP may bring to the table. SAP’s roadmap emphasizes cloud-first strategies, AI-driven processes, and sustainability – values we’re embedding into our product design. Whether it be AI integration, sustainability, or modular ERP, Syngentic aims to deliver software that meets these goals for the foreseeable future.

Now that you understand what it is that Syngentic hopes to deliver, keep reading for an inside peek of what it is like to be a Business Analyst – the primary role in charge of developing the software in question.

Mohammed:

I joined Syngentic as a Business Analyst this September, and since then, I’ve been on an exciting learning journey with SAP technologies. It all started with earning several badges that introduced me to the world of SAP services and solutions. Honestly, I was amazed at how SAP is transforming the way businesses operate. One of the first badges I completed was for Low-Code/No-Code Developer, which introduced me to SAP Build. SAP Build is a platform that makes rapid application development possible without heavy coding. This experience showed me how SAP is bridging the gap between business and technology, empowering teams to innovate faster.

Following the growing trend of AI, I dove into the Boosting AI-driven Business Transformation with Joule Agents badge. Joule is SAP’s vision for embedding AI into everyday business workflows, and learning about its capabilities was eye-opening. Intelligent agents like Joule can automate tasks, improve decision-making, and create personalized experiences across SAP ecosystems.

I’ve also spent time attending webinars on Business Transformation, SAP Signavio, and SAP LeanIX, which excited me to understand how important process optimization and enterprise architecture are for digital transformation. Signavio, in particular, stood out to me because it helps businesses truly understand their processes in terms of where the bottlenecks are, what can be improved, and how to make operations more efficient. In today’s fast-paced world, that kind of insight is priceless.

These learnings have been super helpful as I work towards my SAP Build Solutions Architect certification. I am really intrigued to work on this certification as I will work on gaining the skills to design scalable, integrated solutions using SAP’s low-code/no-code tools. Additionally, it will also teach me how to build applications that connect smoothly across SAP systems so businesses can innovate faster and smarter.

SAP has always been a leading innovator in enterprise space. But now, with AI at the forefront, they’re redefining what’s possible. What intrigues me most is SAP’s approach to making life easier for its users—whether you need a small application or want to automate complex processes, SAP has a solution.

Looking ahead, I believe SAP’s future will center on automation, AI-powered analytics, and composable business applications. By combining tools like Signavio, LeanIX, and Joule, SAP is building an ecosystem that helps businesses identify bottlenecks, streamline application development, and embrace process automation—all powered by evolving AI at the core.
